Popularizing Foucault’s philosophy in Ugandas universities will be a one day conference hosted by Uganda Management Institute on 25.June.2024, Kampala, Uganda. A call for papers will be issued to the general public, particularly university lecturers/students to submit academic proposals on the contributions of Foucaults philosophy in academia and public management. It is expected that about 200 participants will grace the conference. The participants will be drawn from academia, government and private sector. Similarly, presenters and discussants will be drawn from the same cohorts.
It is hoped that after the conference, participants from these institutions may constitute themselves into Foucault study groups or clubs or chaptersto regularly discuss Foucault’s philosophy and also attract other interested individuals or groups.
We hope that the World Congress will support and guide the organization of the conference and the Foucault groups that may be formed thereafter.
