The concept of heterotopia of deviation described a specific form of urban fragmentation traceable back to the last centuries. 40 years after Foucault’s death, cities have radically changed. The topic of inclusivity struggles in finding new relationships with the heterotopic heritage, while new and diverse forms of urban heterotopias arise. Based on funded research on asylums, cemeteries, hospitals and prisons carried out at Unina and mainly at BAP, an integrated programme made of PhD seminars, design workshops, exhibitions, itineraries and a main conference are proposed with an interdisciplinary approach, inviting internationally renowned experts on architectural, urban and philosophical issues with the aim of relating the Foucaultian legacy to the issues of the contemporary city.
